Slouching Towards Blue Skies 2: Rise

A man says, to protesters fighting oppression, that he hears them.

That man is called Alexander DePfeffle Johnson (no I don't care how it's spelled). He is our Prime Minister and calls himself Boris. I submit to him (not literally, ever) that he doesn't understand. He cannot. He is not merely part of that system, not merely a product of that system. He is the figurehead of that system. All forces of history, empire and class, converge on him as that figurehead at this time. His words are as meaningless as if he'd spoken not at all.

Do not listen. Do not waste your time. There is no answer from the people who represent that system. All expressions thereof have one purpose: to co-opt and dispel protest. To engage is to capitulate because it cannot be anything else. The only voice that matters is the voice of the people, in this case the voice of the oppressed.

We are seeing something remarkable. The sacking of a hated statue highlights their existence. They are conspicuous now; bigot baubles lit up like a nationwide - perhaps international - Christmas tree. We see them now; more importantly we know what they are. They represent the fist of the ruling class. Content to immortalise the worst people in the world. We may not have known better then. We do know. Tear them down.

We see that this is possible. That people have power. Direct action gets the goods once again. We need no permission, and none will ever be offered. Tear them down. Every one. Make this an act that will, as it is, resonate around the world. Like the statue of Edward Colston - like his vile achievement - there must be no return. Their time is passed.

This has provided more of an educational opportunity. The reactionary responise, aside from rampant pearl clutching, includes the tedious "erasure of history". Rubbish. None of this prevents history, and the role scum like Colston played, from being taught. Now, with correct consciousness behind it that education can be provided and state based narratives (through state based education curricula) can be revealed for what they are. This is education from the ground up, people learning what men like Colston were all about. Never again.

Johnson doesn't care. He doesn't want your anger. Your only real weapon; and what a weapon! The state will always seek to subvert it. To tell you it's uncouth, unseemly. It isn't proper. Peaceful protest is the correct method. Rubbish; the correct method is the one that gets results. The people in Bristol didnt' set fire to the city, nor did they trash shops, just the state of a foul hateful slaver.

The government will do its best to stamp this out. To send a message. To that end we have the dismal spectacle of Priti Patel throwing out her racial credentials. In response to Labour correctly calling out her ignorance of the situation she mentioned her own experiences as a woman of colour. I don't doubt any of them. No one should be insulted or racially abused like that, but she now willingly sits atop the most racist department in government, the Home Office, and works for a racist PM. She cannot avoid being racist in that job. It's not even as if she's done anything about it and has trumpeted immigration policies that only reinforce this worldview. Awful. But that's what power does.

Take it from them.
