Lockdown Comedown 4: Cold June

I find the notion that the Tories own stupidity has put them, once again, in danger hilarious.
These people are too stupid for words. It would serve them right to suffer, the rests of us have had to because o months, now, of their arrogance and incompetence.
Mogg wanted cheerleaders for that bloated moron called Boris and has ended up potentially putting Alok Sharma's life at risk. In any other walk of life that would be a crime. Not for the Tories though who are literally getting away with murder. First Cummings, now Mogg. Any government this stupid should be on pikes outside Traitors Gate. This is too ridiculous to countenance.
Meanwhile Johnson continues to waffle and jibber jabber at the dispatch box. He has nothing except Estonian exceptionalism. Venal hollow vacuous bluster from a stupid spent grasping little chancer. A man too self entitled to realise what he's let himself in for, a victim of his own grubby ambition. Stick a fork in the fool, he's done.
Friends, our death rate is higher than the rest of the EU combined. This is not what exceptionalism means. End them before they end us!
Apparently Mr Sharma doesn't have Covid. He's just naturally a sweaty liar (probably, he's a Tory ffs). Can't say I'm not disappointed (I know, I know!). Still, give it time eh Jakey boy! You'll get there in the end, with your nineteenth century viral warfare. Can you imagine what would happen if someone coughed on him? He'd collapse into a quivering pile of aphorisms and beam back to his own century. A time travel experiment gone terribly wrong.
So starts the Summer, and with a screeching halt to the weather. It's been an exceptional May (meteorologically speaking). I believe weather that's exacerbated by the state of the climate whcih, at least in China, is starting to revert back to it's former diseased state. There is no cure for this in capitalism, just as there is no cure for Covid. Now it's turned uncharacteristically cold. Everywhere you turn, in this twisted hall of mirrors, our world is reflected back in a warped state. Who can say what is real? What the truth is?
We've got just shy of 2000 new cases turning up daily. Our death rate is excessive. Yet we're slouching on as if everything's normal. It cannot be normal and we cannot go on like this. And yet, against theis dreadful global backdrop, there are voices to angry for health to concern them. I must confess reluctance. I'm not in a position to travel (especially now) and protest, but if I were I fear I would decline. This is an exceptional and yet difficult time and it would be a cruel irony for this uprising, this vital insurgency, to be laid low by the pandemic. Especially when our Howard Hughes-esque self vaunted 'leader of the free world' cowers in a bunker. Sadly the US cops, even in the midst of this affair, are still resorting to type. Still harassing and kiling innocent citizens of colour. They will never learn. The only solution is fundamental social reform. The old ways must now die, bury them with the virus.

I'm Back!

Years and years ago, before anyone had ever heard of disease and pandemics, I started this blog. I gave it a stupid name from an Alan Partri...
